Notice is hereby given that the City of Gulfport will receive sealed bids until Ten O’clock a.m., Local Time, November 10, 2020 at the Office of Procurement, 1410 24th Avenue, 2nd Floor Hardy Bldg., Gulfport, MS 39501 for the Orange Grove Community Center Stucco Replacement construction project.
The project consists of removing existing stucco in its entirely on all four sides down to the existing metal studs from low roof to the high roof, install a complete stucco wall system including manufacturer’s recommended drainage course.
Bidding documents are available via paper copy or PDF for a charge of $100 (hard copy) or $75 (digital) Plan House Printing- Gulfport, MS. Plan holders are required to log-in or register for an account at www.lpkplanroom.com to view and order Bidding Documents. All plan holders are required to have a valid email address for registration. The cost for the bidding documents is non-refundable and must be purchased through the website. Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate on form provided and accompanied by a Bid Bond or Security in an amount equal to at least 5% of the amount of the submitted Base Proposal. Such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the accepted Bid and/or execute the Contract and Post Performance and Payment Bond as required within the time specified.
For bids exceeding $50,000.00, Bidder must indicate his Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside of sealed proposal as required by Mississippi Law. Effective July 1, 2010; Per MS Code 31-3-21(3); any bid submitted by a nonresident contractor which does not include the nonresident contractor’s current state law pertaining to such state’s treatment of nonresident contractors, shall be rejected and not considered for award. If no such law exists in the non-resident contractor’s state, then the non-resident contractor may provide a statement to that effect.
The project will be awarded to the lowest and best bidder. However, the owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or to waive any informality. The successful bidder must adhere to the Owner’s policy concerning non-discrimination without regard to race, creed, color, age, sex, national origin or handicap
The City of Gulfport reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities if deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Gulfport
The owner is NOT responsible for bids which are mailed to the wrong address or which arrive in the mail after the designated bid opening time. Bids may be delivered in person to the Owner’s office prior to the bid opening at the time, date and location listed above.
Proposals may be held by the City of Gulfport, Mississippi, for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids.
Direct contact with any City employee, including the Mayor, Administration and City Council on the subject of this bid is strictly forbidden. Violation of this paragraph will result in disqualification of your submission.
